Over 200 different bird species have been identified at Okomitundu, e.g. ostrich, kori bustard, secretary bird, toko, various eagles and buzzards, weaver birds, rose-faced parrot, guinea fowl, hoopoe and many more. By the swimming pool, on walks or on farm tours – there are lots of opportunities to watch birds. A large variety of insects, butterflies, beetles, lizards, geckos, and other small creatures provide a source of great interest when walking on the farm. Ornithologists, entomologists, geologists, archaeologists and other natural scientists should address research ideas and projects to Harald and Birgit Förster. www.okatumba.de
